A great night in Toronto with a Game 2 nail biting win by the Toronto Raptors against the Miami Heat. Down the street, the Texas Rangers got roughed up by the 2015 Toronto Blue Jays. The 1st and 3rd innings were beauties with 5 and 6 runs in respectively. This series against the Texas Rangers was just what the doctor ordered.
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Derek Holland got slapped around in payback for shooting his mouth off last October after Jose Bautista’s bat flip.
I mean, personally, I don’t like him, either. Especially after seeing more about him during the game, and being out in the outfield and seeing how he complains about every single thing.
I don’t know. Maybe Holland just had a bad night but before Thursday he had never given up a run at the Rogers Centre.
Eddie Encarnacion came out big offensively with a 3-run double in the 1st, a walk in the 3rd, a 3-run homer in the 4th inning (that tied him with George Bell for 5th place all-time Blue Jays homerun leaders), and a double in the 7th! Coincidence? Or was it getting Troy Tulowitzki out from under him in the batting order?
This was the type of game us bandwagon fans have been waiting for, and it…was…awesome!
